Description:
- This job will require that frequently during the work shift that the employee may work in the following positions: hands held over head using hand tools and/or hand held power tools, for extended periods of time, while bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping, standing, Lifting of parts and materials of up to 50 pounds from the floor to the employee’s waist is required. Some work stations require the climbing of steps and ladders, and working at a height of up to 10 feet above the ground.
- Employee must be able to comprehend written drawings and assembly instructions.
- Employee must be able to efficiently operate an electric or air powered hand held drill, screw gun, jigsaw, belt sander, disc sander, impact wrench, and hand held grinder.
- Employee must be able to work with chemical products such as acetone, polyester resin, bonding putty, caulking, gel coat paint, lacquer thinner, wax compounds, strippers, and fiberglass cloth material .
- Additional duties require painting the boat bottoms using a handheld roller. Employee while in some work areas of the A & M Mfg., facility, and based on the safety requirements there, may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as eye protection, gloves, hard hats, protective clothing, respirators. If any of this PPE is required the employee will received training and issue of the required PPE.
- Additional duties may require the employee to work by helping unload and properly store incoming raw materials and help facility cleanup projects. Some employees will be trained to operate a powered industrial truck such as a forklift.
- All drivers of any powered industrial truck will receive special training before being authorized to operate the powered industrial truck. Some tasks will require the installation of electrical and plumbing systems, also hardware, furniture, flooring and outboard motors. Employee will be required to help other employees manually push the production boats from one area to another area within the facility, Employee must be able to handle job related stress, and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
