Why You Would Want A COI Tour Boat

A COI Tour Boat Refers To A Vessel Inspected And Certified By The United States Coast Guard (USCG) To Carry Passengers For Hire And Has Been Issued A Certificate Of Inspection (COI). This Certification Process Ensures That The Vessel Meets Specific Safety, Construction, And Stability Standards Set By The USCG To Protect Passengers And Crew. The COI Details The Operational Parameters Of The Vessel, Including The Areas It Can Operate In, The Type Of Operations It Can Conduct, And The Maximum Number Of Passengers It Can Safely Carry.

There Are Many Reasons Why You Would Want A COI Tour Boat For Operating Your Business

A&M Manufacturing Has Established A Strong Commitment To Manufacturing COI (Certificate Of Inspection) Tour Boats, Recognizing The Crucial Role These Vessels Play In The Passenger Transport Industry. This Dedication Is Rooted In Understanding The Importance Of Safety, Legal Compliance, And Quality In Marine Operations.

COI Tour Boats Are Essential For Businesses Looking To Operate Legally And Safely In The Passenger Transport Sector, Offering Benefits In Terms Of Compliance, Safety, Operational Flexibility, Insurance, Marketability, And Financial Viability.

A&M Manufacturing Aims To Enhance The Reputation Of Its Client’s Businesses By Supplying Vessels That Promote Passenger Safety, Comply With Federal Regulations, And Operate Efficiently. This Commitment Reflects A&M Manufacturing’s Dedication To Contributing Positively To The Maritime Industry, Emphasizing The Importance Of Safety, Compliance, And Quality In Enhancing The Overall Passenger Transport Experience.

Our pricing plans

Given the very lengthy lead times at other USCG certified vessel manufacturers, A&M is in the process of opening up another production lane to double capacity from 1 certified boat/month to 2 certified boats/month.

That will drop current lead times from 12 months to 6 months.

A&M understands that businesses need more COI boats than ever, given the impact in Florida of CS/SB 606, and will continue to expand to provide capacity within a 6-12 month lead time horizon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our FAQ section, designed to address common queries about our vessels and the processes involved in their construction and certification. Whether you’re considering a commercial catamaran, a passenger vessel, or any other type of boat, we’re here to provide clarity and insight into our manufacturing practices and regulatory compliance.

At A&M Manufacturing, we’re committed to durability and longevity in our vessels. Unlike some manufacturers, such as Corinthian Catamarans that use marine plywood and balsa core, we opt for composite construction. This involves high-quality materials such as fiberglass, Coosa board, anodized aluminum, and stainless steel to ensure our boats stand the test of time without wood components.

Our boats are specifically designed with hulls optimized for outboard engines. This design provides a shallow draft for beaching and navigating shallow waters, setting us apart from manufacturers like Cooper Marine and Corinthian Catamarans. Our integrated outboard platform is built directly into the hull, enhancing the boat’s integrity and strength while maintaining a metal-free waterline.

A&M Manufacturing streamlines the COI process for you. We handle all documentation and conduct necessary tests, including the dead weight survey and stability test, at our facility under USCG supervision. This comprehensive approach allows us to provide a guaranteed delivery date for your vessel and the associated documents. The final step involves a local USCG inspection to verify onboard safety measures and your captain’s proficiency with emergency procedures.

Our vessels are currently certified for Protected and Partially Protected waters under Subchapter T of the USCG regulations.

The specific COI requirements for commercial catamarans or passenger vessels vary depending on factors such as size, intended use, and operating area. However, generally, vessels must undergo inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards set by regulatory authorities such as the United States Coast Guard (USCG).

At A&M Manufacturing, we prioritize adherence to commercial catamaran COI standards throughout the vessel construction process. We utilize high-quality materials, rigorous testing procedures, and comprehensive documentation to ensure that our vessels meet or exceed regulatory requirements. Additionally, our experienced team works closely with regulatory agencies to facilitate the COI process and ensure timely certification for our customers.
